Dr. Joe Bloom, veterinarian

Dr. Joe Bloom graduated from Tufts University Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1983. He then spent 18 years in the financial industry before returning to school in 2001 when he entered the class of 2005 of the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine.
After receiving his VMD, Dr. Bloom practiced small animal medicine and surgery for 5 years at Basking Ridge Animal Hospital in Somerset County, NJ. While at BRAH Dr. Bloom gained a broad range of surgical, medical and emergency skills. He then spent 6 months as Medical Director for The Liberty Humane Society – Jersey City’s municipal animal shelter. There he performed over 800 surgical procedures to help reduce the city’s pet overpopulation problem. In June of 2011, Dr. Bloom launched Harding Veterinary Services.
